When to Use

Use Product Recommendations Simulator to test product recommendations for specific product categories. You can specify very broad or very narrow categories, depending on what you would like to test. Especially valuable for seasonal preparation (e.g testing mulch categories before those questions ramp up in the spring) and targeting problem categories where you’re seeing issues. Configure to focus on categories where you anticipate or have observed issues.

Product Categories: Specific product types to test (can add multiple)

Deep Search Toggle: Enable or disable advanced product search queries
Deep Search: True or False
Max Turns is a common parameter that can be configured for any simulator type.

When Deep Search is enabled, the simulated user engages in more sophisticated product inquiries. They ask detailed questions about specifications and use cases, express complex requirements with multiple decision factors, and explore technical details for specific usage scenarios. This creates a more thorough test of the chatbot’s product knowledge and recommendation capabilities.
